The FID B single-blade cut-off fire damper prevent fire, smoke and gases propagation to adjacent areas. During normal operation, the fire damper is an open or closed position depending on its function. If one zone catches fire, the damper will open in this zone and close in other zones. The damper blade can also change its position during a fire, depending on the needs of rescue teams or the fire scenario.
The FID B consist of a casing with a rectangular cross-section made of fire-proof boards, a moving damper blade and an actuator activated either manually or remotely. For chemically aggressive environments, the fire-proof boards are impregnated. The casings total length is 600 mm. The damper blade is made of a fire-proof board with a total thickness of 40 mm. The inner side of the fire damper casing is equipped with a gasket system and stop profiles which limit the rotating motion of the damper blade. The fire damper is also equipped with an inspection access, located on one of the sides of the casing. At the corners of the casing there are steel reinforcements with a rivet nut system, enabling the installation of masking grilles and frames for connecting steel ventilations ducts.
APPLICATION
The FID B single-blade cut-off fire dampers are intended for installation and use in both automatically and manually operated fire ventilation systems. They are used in fire ventilation systems or in mixed fire and comfort ventilation systems. Furthermore, they support single and multiple fire zones in a building.
