The pressure vacuum relief valve (end-of-line) with integrated flame arrester protects against damage from overpressure and implosion due to vacuum conditons and prevents external flames from entering storage tanks and vessels.
Under normal circumstances, the pressure relief valve is in a closed position where gas and vapor cannot escape to the surrounding atmosphere. The valve can also be configured to let air into the tank if it is emptied and an imbalance between the tank pressure and the external atmospheric pressure is created.
The pressure vacuum relief valve (end-of-line) with flame arrester can be set with opening values between 2.5 mbar and 70 mbar. The valve closes again when the internal pressure of the tank returns to a safe range.
This relief valve differs from conventional Pressure Vacuum Relief Valves (PVRV) in that it emits vapor/gas and draws in air through the same opening that is equipped with a flame arrester which protects against flames from and external fire. The integrated flame arrester introduces little pressure loss and is designed with a MESG (Maximum Experimental Safe Gap) of <0.65 mm, making it suitable for gas groups IIB and IIA.
The housing is self-draining and designed to prevent condensation from accumulation on surfaces. The inner seal is made of Teflon, which reduces the possibility of ice formation and accumulation of sticky material.
