This pressure vacuum relief valve (end-of-line) combined with flame arrester provides protection for storage tanks and vessels against pressure. The valve is mounted on the roof flange of the tank or at the end of the gas pipeline. In its normal closed position, the valve prevents gas and vapor leaks to the surrounding atmosphere but if the pressure in the tank increases, the valve open and the gas is discharged. The valve clolses again when the tank returns to a safe internal pressure. It is possible to configure the relief valve with a predetermined opening point between +61 and 1000 mbar.
The pressure vacuum relief valve is combined with a Deflagration (in-line) flame arrester, which ensures that external flames cannot ignite the contents of the storage tank/vessel through the valve openings. The flame arrester can be released and removed for maintenance purposes with affecting the function of the relief valve.
The combination of pressure vacuum relief valve and flame arrester ensures a safe working environment for staff working in proximity to the tank/vessel and it protects the equipment at the location.
