Deflagration (end-of-line with automatic opening hood) flame arrester is a passive unit that prevents flames from entering pipelines and vessels that emits flammable gasses or vapors. The unit contains a flame element that can quench subsonic flames but allows gas and vapor to pass during normal operation. Its upper part is a weather hood that prevents wind, rain, dust and insects from entering and degrading the efficiency of the product.
Maintenance of te flame element is easy, as it can be removed and cleaned or replaced.
AREAS OF USE
Flame arresters of type, Deflagration (end-of-line with automatic opening hood), are designed for installation at the end of pipelines and exit of vessels. They are to be installed in the horizontal plane.
