Planing

Planing processes can, under certain circumstances, develop explosions or fires. When planing heat is generated and sparks may occur that could cause concentrations of dust in the atmosphere to explode. Jammed pieces of wood quickly generate heat that could start a fire and undiscovered remnants of metal, such as screws or nails, in the wood may cause sparks that can initiate an explosion in ventilation units and filters.

Safevent’s solutions reduces the risk of explosions and fires from occurring. We do that by supplying and/or mounting our spark detectors on your planers ventilation system. Our spark detectors will detect any passing into the ventilation system. If a spark is detected, the spark detectors will inform a central control unit, which then initiate automatic extinguishing mechanisms.
