Our curved explosion panels - model VL-R - are designed for relief of explosions that might occur in industrial processes. With an explosion panel you can decide where and in which direction the explosion's pressure wave and fireball will be discharged. This allows you to direct the explosion to a designated area where employees are not staying and where valuable equipment or production facilities are not located.
The VL-R curved explosion panel is very suitable for application with low vacuum or working pressure (up tp 50 % of static brust pressure) such as elevators, conveyors, silos and cyclones. The VL-R comes with an integral flange that covers its breaking point ensuring a strong mechanical durability. It is also equipped with a gasket (either of EPDM or silicone FDA, depending on edition) for a dustproof seal.
This explosion panel can be tailored to your specific process. It can be manufactured with a burst pressure (Pstat) that suits your production and its curved radius is formed to fit your equipment. Futhermore, the VL-R is tested after it has been produced, to ensure that the korrekt burst pressure is observed.
