FAAST LT is our aspirating smoke detector of choice, when it comes to detection of smoke particles. Perforated tubes installed along the ceiling, continually leads air from everywhere around the room to be analysed by the aspirating smoke detectors. This allows few smoke detectors to cover a large area.
The aspirating smoke detector is serviced directly at the detector, that can be installed in an easily accessible position. Compressed air is blown through the tubes, to secure that the air can pass through the holes unhindered.
Air is sucked into the aspirating smoke detector. There it is analysed by laser detectors, that is designed to register smoke particles. If smoke particles are registered by the laser the detector, an alarm is triggered. The alarm can be connected to existing communications systems.
The FAAST LT is well suited for larger areas or areas that require fast and reliable detection of smoke such as containing vital electronics or servers.
The aspirating smoke detector can be mounted in areas with a high ceiling, in which service of conventional smoke detectors would otherwise be difficult and costly. The FAAST LT eliminates these difficulties as only the perforated tubes need to be mounted below ceiling. This allows the FAAST LT to be installed in normal working height.
